I was talking to him last night, and we have been talking today, basically I have not long moved to the area and not long known him, and as I don’t know anyone here, we are talking about meeting up. I am quite nervous, I have never kissed a guy, and don’t even know any conversation starters…
Any tips, please?
Talk to them about things you guys share in common. Talk about your favorite things to do. Ask him his. Tell him you’re really happy to see him. Ask him what he wants to do in the future…
There’s this guy I really like that I’ve met him through a sports club. We don’t really get the chance to talk to each other because we’re at different levels and we’re always really busy practising, but we’re friends on Facebook and I’d really like to start a conversation with him. But I don’t know what to say that won’t make it awkward.
Does anyone know any really good conversation starters for Facebook that will make him notice me and perhaps even be interested in me?
Any feedback will be appreciated, thanks.
The most obvious one would be to talk about sport , like for example upcoming events and past events and training methods and techniques or special diets or mental preparation before an event , comments on elite competition happening around the world in your and his sport at present. Then you could move onto music preferences or comments about school or work. That’s what most peeps do and in time as you get to know him stuff like global warming or politics if those things interest him. You will probably need to spend some time talking about things that interest him but not you and that will involve a bit of research so that you have some ideas.
But it seems to me that your interests in sport should keep you going for quite a while and just by the way face to face conversations are far more valuable in getting to know someone than a facebook conversation. So a date at the cafe is worth more than a session online.
