What are some good and interesting conversation starters for talking to girls?
I get messages from random girls from my classes, and need to know something that will keep the conversation going besides the usual generic stuff. It feels like my mind goes blank sometimes and I can’t think of anything to say. haha
Any advice?
Try asking them about themselves, girls love to talk about themselves and most the time will never stop, so you wouldn’t have to do much talking cause they would be doing all the talking. But instead of things like whats your favorite color, ask what pisses you off? What kind of things attract your attention? Whats your biggest fear? Whats the biggest lie you’ve ever told? Also tell them about your self, but just talk you can talk about nothing and most the time no one cares. Besides flow is flow so talk about what ever you feel like talking about, if your thinking about donuts talk about donuts, be random, it makes things interesting.
conversation starters?
i need to make some friend’s for my bus, and i usually end up with nothing to talk about! there ends up being awkward scilence! Theres this WICKED cute guy that i’d like to get to know, and I need some conversation thingys! I plan on offering him a piece of gum, and asking him if his brother is ___, but i don’t know what will become of the conversation! lololol
What are some things to talk about? That WON’T make me look like a freak?
I remember some suggestions from msn.com
1) the weather is bad… It would be nice to go to (some place) now… – and then you could discuss travels
2) were you named after a relative? (but this seems too personal in your case…)
3) you could also ask for advice where to buy something for a collection (like books, computer games, CDs etc) – and discuss collections further

What to ask parents/conversation starters when meeting them the first time?
I am meeting my boyfriends parents for the first time tonight and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for what to talk about or ask. Any advice will do, but I would really appreciate it if people would skip the whole "just be yourself" because I understand that but just need some ways to break the ice and keep the conversation going.
My suggestion is…just be yourself! But I will elaborate 
If you know what they each do for a living and it is interesting to you, ask them questions about their careers. If dinner is provided at home, ask questions about the meal…how it was prepared, why its one of their favorites, etc. Ask questions about your boyfriend when he was a child…I know that subject interests you.
I met my son’s girlfriend for the first time the other night (they are 20 years old) and what I enjoyed most was not the ice breaker topic, but what came after that…we were discussing cooking (not sure how the subject came up) and she shared childhood stories with me about her cooking experiences. From this conversation, I learned what a compassionate, strong young lady she is….and we were discussing cooking!
Don’t be too nervous; it serves no purpose other than everyone being uncomfortable. We parents really aren’t that scary once you get to know us
So, just be yourself! Discuss things that interest you, discover their interests and if you are the type of person to give compliments, then do so genuinely.

What’s is this generic stuff? You can’t talk to a person first without talking about the general topics. Until you get to know her that’s all you can talk about with her.
